VELVET FALERNUM
Exhibition Prize Winner since 1923
This famous Bajan “Gold Medal” beverage and mixer was developed by John D. Taylor of Bridgetown , Barbados in 1890. A sugar cane-based liqueur born and bred in Barbados , it is a staple of every Bajan’s bar. Its uniquely refreshing flavour comes from a refined infusion of lime laced with fine cane syrup and ‘botanicals’ including almonds and cloves.
A MUST in Rum Punches, Rum Swizzles, Mai Tai’s
”VELVET FALERNUM provides layers of flavor without getting too esoteric with ingredients”, quotes Dale DeGroff, President of King Cocktail Company and the Museum of the American Cocktail. He recently won awards for the Prestige Cocktail, which enjoys Velvet Falernum as an ingredient.
