Summer Refreshers from the Spirits of Mexico

The sound of waves splashing on the ocean shore. Outdoor Bar-B-Ques. Beach Volleyball. Surf’s up! Summer’s finally here. No more reminiscing. It’s that time of the year to get out and enjoy, or, to just ‘sip back and relax’ with a good read and some Margaritas, Palomas and other thirst quenchers.

While the Spirits of Mexico event in San Diego takes place at the outer reaches of Summer, why not polish your palate with some of these delightfully refreshing cocktails this Summer (see below)? Or, simply float a slice of blood orange in a luscious anejo from Oro Azul, Sauza, Tres Generaciones, Partida, El Tesoro, Corazon, Herradura, 4 Copas, Scorpion Mezcal, Gran Centenario, Chaya, and Scorpion Mezcal.

All of these Tequilas, Mezcals and more will be sipped while sampling from an assortment of culinary delights this September 16, the 185 th Anniversary of Mexican Independence , at The Spirits of Mexico at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center.

Meet Phillip Soto Mares , Catador Oficial de La Academia Mexicana del Tequila, A.C. & President of Duende, LLC and Sofia Partida of PartidaTequila. Each will be hosting private Seminars during our VIP hour. Cocktail Times will be on hand to help with entertaining ideas. The Museum of the American Cocktail will host a Mixology Seminar. Guest appearances by Master Distillers and Experts including Mark Cannon of PocoTequila, a Silent Auction benefiting Sky Ranch Foundation, featuring rare and collectable spirits and more, await you.
