Portland , OR – For the second year in a row, Imbibe has been named Best Special Interest Magazine, an award presented at the 57th Maggie Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles on May 2. The award recognizes Imbibe's March/April 2007 issue, which was selected over such other popular national enthusiast titles as PCWorldand MacWorld. The Maggies received nearly 2,000 entries representing more than 500 magazines for this year's awards, and nearly 90 awards were handed out at the ceremony. Befittingly, Imbibe columnist Doctor Cocktail himself (aka Ted Haigh) was on hand to accept the award.
"Being named Best Special Interest Magazine last year was exciting, but receiving the award two years in a row is humbling," says Imbibe publisher Karen Foley. "We're so thrilled that Imbibe continues to receive such wonderful recognition and support.” In addition to winning back-to-back Maggie Awards, Imbibe also received a 2007 Eddie Award for Best Epicurean Magazine. The May/June 2008 Summer Drinks issue marks Imbibe's second anniversary.
