Jacques Bezuindenhout will cover what 100% Agave Tequila is and how Tequilas can be separated into Highlands & Lowlands.  Explore the differences in Partida , Gran Centenario & El Tesoro , how each uses different production methods and barrel aging. In addition you'll be introduced to Scorpion Mezcal . Learn how Mezcal is unique or different to Tequila. Jacques will also demonstrate a few Tequila cocktails to show how versatile Tequila can be when combined with fresh ingredients.

Beverage Specialist Jacques Bezuindenhout  heads up what is quickly gaining acclaim as one of the best bar teams in the United States at Tres Agaves & Harry Denton’s Starlight Room in San Francisco , both places recognized for their beverage programs. Jacques’ drinks have been mentioned in publications including The SF Chronicle, LA Times, 7X7 Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Sante’ and Cheers Magazine and have been shown on the Fine Living Network, Food Network & Channel 4 News. He has been the opening consultant for multiple bars and restaurants, has served as Brand Ambassador for Plymouth Gin and is also the Chairman of the San Francisco chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild. Jacques visits distilleries around the world to deepen his knowledge of spirits and to further his relationships with the distillers and owners.
