Louise Owens

Louise Owens

Louise has been in the wine and food business for the past 20 years. She started out running a small restaurant in Manhattan ’s East Village in the wild days of the 1980’s followed by a stint as the Associate Editor of the Wine & Food Companion published by David Rosengarten and Joshua Wesson. She then headed back to her hometown of Dallas where she spent 5 years as Marketing Manager for Martin Sinkoff Wines importing wines from the South of France. For all of the 21 st century she has been a writer, focusing on wine, fine spirits and food. She is a regular contributor to the Dallas Morning News and has written for many publications including Esquire and Santé and was the Texas editor for the Oxford Companion to the Wines of North America .
